I so love word-play.
In the past few weeks, I’ve been re-exploring the idea of “being here, now”. Or, as a friend recently shared one of his favorite versions with me:
“You’re here, you might as well be here.”
And then, the other day, I learned about this beautiful mini-documentary film [9.44 min] entitled Being Hear, featuring the work and insights of Gordon Hempton, an Emmy-winning acoustic ecologist. [You can watch it right below or directly on Vimeo.]
Hempton states:

This past week, my dog, Blue and I celebrated the 3rd anniversary of us adopting each other. He’s such a sweetheart and I so relish our life together.
Here, the far-off city sounds have shifted to happy beach-goers during the day to rhythmic surf in the evening to seagulls laughing as they follow the waves crashing along the shore in the morning.
